Delirium by Lauren Oliver

They say that the cure for love will make me happy and safe forever. And I've always believed them.
Until now.
Now everything has changed.
Now, I'd rather be infected with love for the tiniest silver of a second than life a hundred years suffocated by a lie.

There was a time when love was the most important thing in the world. People would go to the end of the earth to find it. They would tell lies for it. Even kill for it.

Then, at last, they found the cure.

Now, everything is different. Scientist are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Haloway has always looked forward to the day when she'll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But then, with only ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable...

5- Amazing!! I want to read it again!

I don't know why I put off reading this book for so long! It was amazing! I bought this book when it first came out and it has been sat on my shelf ever since, I really do wish that I had read it sooner. I loved the world that Lauren Oliver created (not that I want to live in it myself) I thought that it was a very interesting concept that love was an illness and how people could think that it was dangerous. Oliver's writing was just captivating and kept me glued to the page from start to finish.

I loved Lena I found her character so easy to conect to and her voice kept me glued to the page from start to finish. Her and Alex's love story made my heart swoom from the beginning and because of the concept of the story it made it seem even deeper.

Throughout the plot I was kept guessing about what would happen next and it never disappointed! I laughed, I smiled and I cried; this book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. Lauren Oliver captured first love and love itself perfectly.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy new year everyone!!! 2014 is finally here and I can't wait to get this year started and get the blog back on track again! There are so many things I want to do this year on the blog and I can't wait to get started!

My blog resolutions:

1) Post more reviews on the blog (since I have so many to put up)

2) Make more blogger friends (I'm slightly a blogger loner at the moment and I would love to make some new friends!)

3) Make new memes

4) Try and have my blog template designed (as a treat to myself)

5) Make Book Geek Central a completely full running blog again!

6) Read as many amazing books as possible!

As well as this being a great new start for the blog it is also an important year for me since I am now in the last couple of months of my final year studying A levels which means I should be going of to university in September (well fingers crossed) to study Egyptology and Ancient History! It's so exciting!
