Waiting on Wednesday (#46)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights an upcoming release we are greatly anticipating.

I can not wait for the this book! I loved 'The Immortal Rules' so much and I can't wait to read what happens next!

The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden #2)
Julie Kagawa
May 3rd 2013
In Allison Sekemoto's world, there is one rule left: Blood calls to blood

She has done the unthinkable: died so that she might continue to live. Cast out of Eden and separated from the boy she dared to love, Allie will follow the call of blood to save her creator, Kanin, from the psychotic vampire Sarren. But when the trail leads to Allie's birthplace in New Covington, what Allie finds there will change the world forever-and possibly end human and vampire existence.

There's a new plague on the rise, a strain of the Red Lung virus that wiped out most of humanity generations ago-and this strain is deadly to humans and vampires alike. The only hope for a cure lies in the secrets Kanin carries, if Allie can get to him in time.

Allison thought that immortality was forever. But now, with eternity itself hanging in the balance, the lines between human and monster will blur even further, and Allie must face another choice she could never have imagined having to make.

Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan

"I've left some clues for you.
If you want them, turn the page.
If you don't, put the book back on the shelf, please."

So begins the latest whirlwind romance from the bestselling authors of Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a cosmic mismatch of disastrous proportions?

4- Great!

I read this book over Christmas because it was quite short that I could fit around all my Christmas shopping. Dash and Lilly’s Book of Dares was so easy to read and get lost in, I was pulled in from the first paragraph and it even put me in the mood for Christmas.

Review:

I loved the idea of the book of dares that Lily had created within the book and I for one know that even though I have a love for books and puzzles I would not be able to solve what was in that notebook. And I think that because I couldn’t figure out that part of the book it kept me guessing on what was going to happen next. Plus this book was just so cute! And like I said put me in the perfect Christmas mood which made it even cuter! And all the cute characters! And if you haven’t guessed I thought everything about this book was cute.

I loved how this book was told by both Dash and Lily’s point of view for two reasons, for one (and yes I know this isn’t the best reason but…) I found that if I was reading too much of one characters point of view I found myself slightly skimming over some paragraphs, and then the second reason was because (and this one is better) Dash and Lily were such different characters and it was just so much fun reading their different views on the same events.

I really enjoyed this book overall even though I may have skim read over a paragraph or two but this book was perfect to get me into the reading and Christmas mood plus (and yes I am going to say it again) this book was just so cute. There were good characters and a fun romance so pick this book up if you are looking for a light enjoyable read.
