The Dark Divine by Bree Despain

Grace Divine, daughter of the local pastor, always knew something terrible happened the night Daniel Kalbi disappeared—the night she found her brother Jude collapsed on the porch, covered in blood—but she has no idea what a truly monstrous secret that night held.

The memories her family has tried to bury resurface when Daniel returns, three years later, and enrolls in Grace and Jude's high school. Despite promising Jude she'll stay away, Grace cannot deny her attraction to Daniel's shocking artistic abilities, his way of getting her to look at the world from new angles, and the strange, hungry, glint in his eyes.

The closer Grace gets to Daniel, the more she jeopardizes her life, as her actions stir resentment in Jude and drive him to embrace the ancient evil Daniel unleashed that horrific night. Grace must discover the truth behind the boys' dark secret...and the cure that can save the ones she loves. But she may have to lay down the ultimate sacrifice to do it—her soul.

4- Great!

This book as been sat on my shelf for ages, I have no idea why it took me so long to pick it up! After the first chapter of this book I was hocked and just had to keep following the mysterious events that occurred right up until the last page.

The plot was fast paced and kept me glue to the page. There were plot twists that kept me guessing and surprised me in so many ways. The writing just seemed to flow off the page and the book was so easy to read and get entangled in the story.

I loved Grace and Daniel’s relationship and how it grew and shaped throughout the novel. I love how throughout the story flashbacks of their childhood together were added showing their relationship with each other as they grew up.

Werewolves *sigh* I love werewolves and have been looking to read a good werewolf book for a while know and the werewolves in this book surprised me, in a good way that is and I just loved reading the history about them as well, it was just so interesting.

Overall I loved this book and cannot wait to continue with the rest of the series!
