Lupine syndrome—also known as the werewolf virus—is on the rise across the country. Many of the infected try to hide their symptoms, but bloodlust is not easy to control.

Wanting desperately to put an end to her nightmares, Mac decides to investigate Amy’s murder herself. '"Technically, you're in my seat," he said conversationally. Reaching into his bagpack, he pulled out a full-sized bottle of ketchup, and my eyes nearly popped out of my head as I abandoned all pretense of reading. Who carried around a bottle of ketchup?
He must've seen my look, because as he squirted it all over the massive pile of fries, he nudged the tray closer to me. "Want some?"'

Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers thirteen cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker, his classmate and crush who committed suicide two weeks earlier.
On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out how he made the list.

Through Hannah and Clay's dual narratives, debut author Jay Asher weaves an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that will deeply affect teen readers.

Review:

5- Amazing!! I want to read it again!

WOW… I can not think of the words to do this book justice but I’ll try my best. This book was so moving and unlike anything that I have ever read before. The book shows that the little –or not so little in some cases- things that we do can make a big impact on peoples lives… and the little thing that we do can drive them over the edge and make them do something worse to themselves.

This is one of the most compelling books I’ve ever read. I felt so many emotions, I cried, I laughed, but most of all I felt.

All I can say is reading this book is so much better than the way I’m trying to display how much it moved me after I finished reading it.

Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement-Moore

Title: Texas Gothic
Author: Rosemary Clement-Moore
Published by: Corgi Childrens
Age Group: Young-adult
Paperback: 404
Challenge: Howarts Reading Challenge 2011
2011- Young Adult Reading Challenge

Amy Goodnight knows that the world isn't as simple as it seems—she grew up surrounded by household spells and benevolent ghosts. But she also understands that "normal" doesn't mix with magic, and she's worked hard to build a wall between the two worlds. Not only to protect any hope of ever having a normal life.

Ranch-sitting for her aunt in Texas should be exactly that. Good old ordinary, uneventful hard work. Only, Amy and her sister, Phin, aren't alone. There's someone in the house with them—and it's not the living, breathing, amazingly hot cowboy from the ranch next door.

It's a ghost, and it's more powerful than the Goodnights and all their protective spells combined. It wants something from Amy, and none of her carefully built defenses can hold it back.

This is the summer when the wall between Amy's worlds is going to come crashing down.

5- Amazing!! I want to read it again!

This book was different to what I expected it to be… in a good way that is. I found myself smiling and laughing out loud while reading. I haven’t read a ghost story in a while and this made me fall in love with them all over again.

Amy was a relatable character and fun to read. Phin… aw I loved Phin she was just so crazy and I loved the relationship between her and Amy. And Ben… you have to love a good cowboy!

At times the plot was a bit predictable but not enough that it was boring… the plot kind of felt a bit like Scooby-Doo at times but I liked it, it made the book more enjoyable to read.

A fun, mystery with ghosts, some kissing, and scenes that will make you laugh out loud.

Jessie's just arrived in New York, hoping to forget about her awful ex.

New Yorker Finn is in love with his best friend's girlfriend.

They might be perfect together, but in a city of eight million people, will they ever find each other?

Review:

4- Great!

I started reading this novel because I was in the middle of a reading slump and I thought that this book would be a fun, easy read and by the time I finished it was everything that I thought it would be and I loved it… plus it did get me out of my reading slump!

The book is told from the perspectives of Jessie and Finn through most of the book it’s more like two different stories because the pair haven’t met yet. It was so much fun reading about both of their experiences and how they both grew and overcome their problems.

I was surprised by how much more of a teens book this was, when I picked it up I thought that it was an upper middle grade because of the summary and the cover. The characters were well rounded and the writing was amazing, but there was just something missing and there wasn’t really that much romance really either. I loved their romance with New York more than I really loved their romance with each other mainly because there wasn’t enough for me to love.

This book was a fabulous quick, easy and fun read. If you’re looking for something quick but enjoyable buy this book, plus it might even get you out of a reading slump if you’re in one.

Enchanted
Alethea Kontis

It isn’t easy being the rather overlooked and unhappy youngest sibling to sisters named for the other six days of the week. Sunday’s only comfort is writing stories, although what she writes has a terrible tendency to come true.

When Sunday meets an enchanted frog who asks about her stories, the two become friends. Soon that friendship deepens into something magical. One night Sunday kisses her frog goodbye and leaves, not realizing that her love has transformed him back into Rumbold, the crown prince of Arilland—and a man Sunday’s family despises.

The prince returns to his castle, intent on making Sunday fall in love with him as the man he is, not the frog he was. But Sunday is not so easy to woo. How can she feel such a strange, strong attraction for this prince she barely knows? And what twisted secrets lie hidden in his past—and hers?

Cursed
Jennifer L. Armentrout

Dying sucks--and high school senior Ember McWilliams knows firsthand. After a fatal car accident, her gifted little sister brought her back. Now anything Ember touches dies. And that, well, really blows.

Ember operates on a no-touch policy with all living things--including boys. When Hayden Cromwell shows up, quoting Oscar Wilde and claiming her curse is a gift, she thinks he’s a crazed cutie. But when he tells her he can help control it, she’s more than interested. There’s just one catch: Ember has to trust Hayden's adopted father, a man she's sure has sinister reasons for collecting children whose abilities even weird her out. However, she’s willing to do anything to hold her sister's hand again. And hell, she'd also like to be able to kiss Hayden. Who wouldn't?

But when Ember learns the accident that turned her into a freak may not've been an accident at all, she’s not sure who to trust. Someone wanted her dead, and the closer she gets to the truth, the closer she is to losing not only her heart, but her life. For real this time.
